This visa is for successful business owners or investors from overseas willing to invest in new or existing businesses in Australia or make designated investments in Australian State or Territory government bonds.

188B Investor stream
This visa is a four-year temporary residence visa specifically designed for investors who are engaged in investment activities (e.g. stocks, futures, funds, foreign exchange, etc.).
Suitable for: Successful professional investors
188C Significant Investor stream
A significant Investor stream is set for people who are willing to invest at least AUD5 million into complying significant investments in Australia and want to maintain business and investment activity in Australia. Applicants can be nominated by a state or territory government or Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.
There is no age limit, and no English language requirement for this type of visa.
Suitable for: High-asset, high-income successful people
188D Premium Investor stream
The Premium Investor stream is set for people who are willing to invest at least AUD15 million into complying premium investments in Australia. Applicants must be nominated by Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.
The investment period is short, only 1 year; there are no residency requirements for the 1 year of the investment period.
188E Entrepreneur stream
This visa combines investment, entrepreneurship, and migration. It is more suitable for overseas graduates with relevant qualifications and overseas innovative talents. Applicants must be nominated by Austrade on behalf of the Australian government.
The visa is valid for 5 years, and 188E holders meeting the requirements can apply for an 888E permanent residence visa after 3 years.
888 Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa
The 888 Business Innovation and Investment Permanent Resident Visa is an investment migration category permanent residence visa that can be applied for within Australia after obtaining a Business Investment Migration Temporary Visa.
