Grace graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University. Afterwards, she went to Australia to study for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Technology Sydney. After specialised training in Migration Law at the University of New South Wales, she became a Registered Migration Agent with the Australian Immigration Service. Currently, she is a Member of the Migration Institute of Australia and a Justice of the Peace awarded by the Australian Government.
Unlike the general migration agent, Grace studied Migration Law at the University of New South Wales and then undertook a Juris Doctor qualification at the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology Sydney. Her solid theoretical foundation in immigration law and more than a decade of practical experience, including migration plan, ministerial appeal writing, and in-court defence on Migration Review Tribunal, have enabled her to provide comprehensive solutions during consultation with her clients and their families.
Education and Immigration Departments established by Grace also provide a full range of follow-up services for clients in Australia. Grace specialises in appeals and re-applications for multiple refusal cases, as well as Business Investment Migration and Employer Sponsored Visa.
Ms Shen has spent 12 years working within Australian Educational Framework to advise international students on study and career. Grace has been involved in assisting in setting up courses for various institutes in Australia. She successfully promoted TAFE vocational training to the Chinese Business Association and was honoured to be invited by Minister of Education in NSW to the NSW Parliament House.
Ms. Shen was the host of the television documentary “Australian Chinese”, DVD launch ceremony in 2000. This 12 series documentary was broadcast on China Central Television in both Chinese and English versions before the Sydney 2000 Olympics with over 100 million viewers. The DVD version has been collected by The Australian National Museum.
In 2010, Grace facilitated the official signing of GEIC as an official partner of the CBA, enabling GEIC clients to enjoy many exclusive services, including opening an Australian bank account in China and receiving the lowest interest rates on home loans in Australia.
In 2011, Grace Shen joined the Sydney Chamber of Commerce in Australia to make her voice heard in politics and business for international students and immigrants from mainland backgrounds, fighting for more social and political rights. In 2013, Grace Shen became one of the Managing Directors of Sydney Chamber of Commerce Australia with mainland background.
Mr. Strang commenced his legal career in 1992 as assistant to the General Counsel of a major multinational company in London working primarily in intellectual property. He entered private practice in NSW in 1993 and has extensive practical legal experience especially in the areas of Family Law and General Litigation. He became an accredited Family Law specialist at age of 31.
Mr. Strang is also a registered Migration agent. He practiced in Administrative Appeals Tribunal cases and various visa application. His main areas of practice are in the more complex areas of immigration law such as visa cancellations, AAT cases and difficult visa applications.
In 2001, whilst working for one of Australia’s largest law firms, he led a case on the ownership of fertilised eggs obtained by IVF for a divorcing couple. After 18 months of advocacy, he won the case in favour of the father. The case was entered into the NSW Law reports. As a matter of case law in Australia, this case has completely rewritten this part of family law. This case is the best example of how court lawyers can change the law in Australia.
In the past 30 years he has extensive litigation experience in various courts and has led his team to assisted thousands of families dealt with their Conveyance, Family Law issues and visa issues.
Hunter grew up in a family where three generations have worked in the field of higher education, which has made students and schools a natural passion for him. After graduating from Nanjing University Hunter came to Australia and continued his study at the University of Sydney. Hunter previously worked in one of the top education agencies in China and he has worked as an education consultant for many years. He has profound and insightful views on Australia’s social life, culture, and especially the education industry. Hunter has hosted long term programs such as CNR in morning time and evening time, bringing the latest in Australian news and Australian social lives. In 2008, when the Olympic flame burnt bright in Beijing; Hunter was responsible for delivering Australian Chinese’s passion for Olympic Games on behalf of CNR.
In 2010, Hunter won the most popular host award in the 2ac competition. And in the Chinese lunar New Year’s Eve in 2014, Hunter was invited to host live with CNR New Year Eve special program.
The program provided an opportunity for Chinese people in Australia and people in China to interact with each other and to send Australian Chinese’s greetings to people in China. Hunter’s long-term experience in working as a host in radio has given him a communication style characterized as being calm and warm. Hunter’s knowledge on Australian News has also given him a profound and comprehensive understanding in Australia.
